Part II

During my drive I came across towns in the rural states that have twin cities or countries elsewhere.

Like Brooklyn, Iowa. I bet the cost of living is a lot lower in this Brooklyn than in Brooklyn, New York!
Peru, it seems, is also found in the American state of Iowa!
This was the sign for a town in Colorado called Last Chance. It was at an intersection and the town looked like it extended 500 meters in each direction. Last Chance seemed like a fitting name. I'm just not sure what it was the last chance for. : )

Where Last Chance is located on the map.

Part I

Leaving California.Driving through Arizona.

Driving into New Mexico I drove right into the most beautiful rainbow. And a big thunderstorm!Entering Colorado.
I had the chance to stop in Colorado and do some back country camping and hiking with my bro-in-law. We saw some beautiful spots and wore the dogs, Tigre and Abby, out!

Abby, stealthily keeping an eye on the photographer through the dense forest. ; )
The town of Ouray, Colorado. Home of elk burgers and good ice cream! The spectacular landscape of Colorado - highway 550 North.
I made a space in the back for Tigre, with a sleeping bag and his bed on top of duffle bags. He seems to like it back there because he can stretch out and sleep!
